Marion performs well at 5A track meet

The Marion High School boys and girls track teams performed well on Thursday afternoon in Van Buren at the Class 5A state track meet.
Marion's boys team finished third overall in the state after earning the 5A East conference crown one week prior.
Patriot senior sprinter and Arkansas-Little Rock signee Chris Hardin earned three more state championships on Thursday, running his career total to six in his career.
Hardin earned the boys 400-meter dash gold, as well as an 800-meter dash first-place finish, and he joined Kayden Harris, Jeremy Dent, and Kam Riley to win the boys 4X4 state championship.
The Patriot boys were third in the 4X200 meter relay, finishing with a time of 1:28.16.
Jalen Neal (22-6.75) claimed a silver medal in the boys long jump final.
