Have your DNA & eat it, too! 8th graders constructed their own edible DNA models in class after learning about the structure and functions of DNA. Next, they will use their models to add DNA mutations to different codons.

Leadership & Service Learning students enjoyed hearing from Ms. Beale during RTI! She shared about her educational background, professional experiences, community service, and the qualities that make an effective leader. Thank you for inspiring our student!!!

Learning life-saving skills! Ms. Washington’s class welcomed guest speaker Caitlin Vernosky from UAMS to teach CPR and the Heimlich maneuver. ❤️‍🩹

DNA Enrichment fun in Nash’s science RTI today. Students are “solving crimes” committed on campus by comparing DNA samples collected from students to DNA left at the seem of the crime. Looks like we have a lot of future forensic scientists at MJHS!
